Who we are

Friendship is at the heart of our name.

AMI began with a family. Its name brings together the first letters of Alfa, Manda and Isaiah. In French, ‘ami’ also means ‘friend.’ That meaning expresses the heart of our association: to walk alongside children and families as a faithful friend—not only during moments of difficulty, but throughout their journey toward education, stability and hope.
